Though this towering vehicle is meant for use in parades celebrating the Big One, a modern Namazu, rather than said venerable ancestor, is depicted atop it. Is this a means of increasing its appeal among the common Namazu, or simply the result of Gyoshin's brethren refusing to allow him to melt down any more koban to make large golden fish statues?
