These lumbering, herbivorous beastkin inhabit chilly plains and snowy mountainsides, protected from the elements by thick matted hides. Ordinarily placid in temperament, mammoths are known to become aggressive if startled, thrashing about with their long, curved tusks. Even the largest of predators will give these creatures a wide berth, preferring to avoid the risk of injury or death.
